This last month my roomates have created quite the bike posse. we all have good lookin bikes and we bike everywhere. i have been looking for a faster road bike since the one i have right now is just old specialized hard rock. i found this on crasigslist for cheap and got it. its taken a few days to get it up to speed but it now performs at top notch performance.

our Friendly Provo 2:03 PM
Welcome to the Cube in Provo, Utah. bradley and i added a tire swing yesterday to out front yard decor and now we are permanently entertained by our tire swing. we feel pretty priviledge being the only people in provo with a tire swing in their fornt yard. So yes our house is called the cube and it is three stories tall and 12 guys do live in it. its quite great.

this is a little bit of our crew. from left to right this is Llyr, Dave, Bradley and Me.

On friday night we went on a gallery stroll where we went to various galleries all over downtown provo to look at all types of art. this piece of art above was a physical tower of books. they were stacked up like 3 feet deep and 10 feet wide and aobut 15 feet tall. it was incredible, a little tempting to push over but we with held and didnt destory the art. it was quite fascinating though.

Last night we went to a local favorite band called The Devil Whale, formerly Palomino. i have followed this band ever since freshman year of college and listening to them last night i really do still love this band. i enjoyed the new rifts and beats that they come out with. if anyone gets a chance to go see the devil whale i would recommend it greatly. so thats it provo is still enjoying the indie scene and seems to be building up the indie reputation quite well. local artists are growing and local music is still very good to listen to.

Last night i went to a Ratatat show in Salt Lake City and it was amazing. now i must say that the first two bands weren't anything special. i went with some buddies and waited in line and when we got there we met some other people that we know very well from a similar interest in the computer game of Peggle. anyways when we got there as a big posse we listened to two bands one was named Panther which wasnt to great just a lot of repeating electronic beats. after these two bands we probably listened to at least 45 minutes if not an hour of good hawaiian island type music. it was great dance music and we started dancing like animals and enjoying the beats. when Ratatat got on stage there was no question why we came there, we were there to dance. i probably danced for a good hour and a half. it was great. i highly recommend seeing this band live, they are very good. they are all instrumental, meaning no vocals, and they can keep you very much engaged in their music with thier creativity and catchy beats. I love them.

Alcan Road Trip 12:15 AM
So on tuesday night this last week i left for a 4 day trip on the Alcan highway. those of you who dont know this is a full flege trip from alaska through canada to the united states. out objective was to arrive in provo on saturday afternoon in time for the 4pm BYU football game. so we started our trip, on tuesday night we left with a subaru outback completely full. we camped in glenallen which is only like a 4 hour drive from eagle river. the second night we stopped at like 2am at laird hot springs for camping. we pulled in late and left right when we got up so we never got to take a dip in the best hot springs ever. the next night we camped right outside of edmonton, alberta. then the next day we stopped in calgary at my sisters megans place and hung out for like 3-4 hours at her place and played with her kids and ate some of her freshly baked goods. it was delicious! that night we camped in Montana. the next day we made it in time for the game in provo. the best thing we camped out every night for free. we parked on the side of the road every time and jsut set up the tent or just slept under the stars. here are some photos:
